Title: Determining employee attendance using data from biometric clocking device

Tools: Microsoft PowerBI

Description: The biometric clock in system that the client uses generates an excel sheet that is poorly formatted and difficult to analyze

The client wanted to be able to determine how many days each employee worked and how many hours of overtime each employee has worked in the past 31 days.

The dataset was cleaned and transformed using tidy data principles. The resulting tidy data was then saved as an excel sheet and used in building a dashboard.

Description:

The Africa RISING Program comprises three regional research-in-development projects supported by the United States Agency for International Development as part of the US Government’s Feed the Future initiative. For over a decade, the organization has been collecting data on farming practices in the northen regions of Ghana.

Due to the complexity of the data collected, generating insights was always difficult. We were brought in to clean the data, feed it to a database and generate a dashboard for further analysis.
